We decided that a simple and effortless task was to ask people to start doing their laundry with cold water rather than warm or hot water. Our group wanted to take a creative approach to change people's behaviors by using a variety of print media such as cards and flyers to raise awareness for cold water usage. We were able to gauge our success rate by checking the knobs everyday in our laundry rooms and achieved a 25% success rate.

With the flyers, we tried to access people by strategically placing flyers above laundry machines as well as in the coin-slot machines to engage interaction. We wanted to encourage the positive impact of this green action through captions about the amount of CO2 saved as well as other energy and money savings through using cold water.
