Our mission was to convince people to save energy by reducing their computer usage.  This could be achieved by putting the computer to sleep while one is away.  At the end of the day, this could be further achieved by turning the computer off as well as unplugging it so that additional “vampire” power would not be sucked out during the night.

In order to inform people of why they should perform this green action, we provided information about the daily savings of both the CO2 that could be saved as well as the monetary savings incurred.  We also performed a calculation of our own to further demonstrate the importance of energy savings based on several assumptions.  Once we had our data, each group member informed and observed two people to see if they would comply with this action after explaining the benefits of this undertaking.  A specially designed reminder slip was also given to them and two info postures were placed around the school to promote energy savings through computer usage.
